Registration & Agenda:
here GridSphere is an open-source portal framework that supports the
JSR-168 portlets standard. GridSphere enables developers to quickly develop and package third-party portlet web applications that can be run and administered within the GridSphere portlet container. Many UK centres are using GridSphere and/or developing portlets, so the time is ripe to consider needs and issues, and perhaps to consider establishing an e-Science portlet repository.
This event combines tutorials on Gridsphere and portlets programming with the opportunity to discuss the portlets needs and issues of
UK e-Science projects. The first day will primarily consist of tutorial presentations by members of the Gridsphere team. Following the tutorials, other speakers will present their experiences with GridSphere and portlets. Breakout sessions will allow topics to be explored in further detail. The workshop will conclude with a general session, including questions to the GridSphere team and discussion of future developments.
This event is ideal for people who wish to learn about GridSphere and portlet programming, and for people who are actively developing portals with GridSphere or other systems
