SCOOP Portal: Coastal Modelling

The SCOOP Portal is currently under development for the coastal modelling community, where they are taking sensor data and running it through models to determine wind velocities and water levels. The portal will allow coastal modelers to share data-sets and codes that are currently local to their sites, and hopefully lead to a more integrated system for coastal modeling.

The current portlets involved in the project are:

Archive Portlet: That connects to a custom data archive portlet that uses RLS and SRB for file storage and retrieval.

Job Submission Portlet: That allows for the submission of coastal modelling jobs. Using the GridPortlets infrastructure for job submission and control.

Job Tracking Portlet: That uses the infrastructure provided by Cactus Portlets to provide simulation tracking and notification (email/instant message).
