http://www.ngs.ac.ukThe National Grid Service is the core UK Grid, intended for the production use of computational and data Grid resources. NGS is the core service resulting from the UK's e-Science programme. NGS is supported by JISC, and is run by the Grid Operations Support Centre (GOSC) http://www.grid-support.ac.ukIn addition to the two core compute and two data clusters, NGS can provide access to the national supercomputing facilities at CSAR http://www.csar.cfs.ac.uk and HPCx http://www.hpcx.ac.ukThe NGS Portal is being developed at CCLRC Daresbury Laboratory with generic and application specific tools to make using the NGS easier. Tools were initially provided in CHEF, but are now being ported to JSR-168 following the OGCE-2 roadmap.
